Is this anonymous?

No, and we won’t claim that. The gateway hides your IP and device details from the exchange. Your deposit and receive addresses are public on their blockchains and can be linked to each other. For coins like Monero, the chain itself hides more.

Do you log my IP address?

No. The gateway drops the connection’s address before handling a request and clears browser headers. Rate limits use an anonymous token your browser solves for, not your IP. This site’s web server runs with access logging turned off.

Do I need to connect a wallet or sign up?

No. There’s nothing to connect and no account. You paste a receive address and send coins from whatever wallet you like.

Who actually does the swap?

ChangeNOW, a non-custodial exchange service. FreedomX passes the request from our server. ChangeNOW’s terms still apply, and they can ask for verification on some swaps or hold one they flag.

What if something goes wrong?

If a swap can’t complete, ChangeNOW can send your deposit back to the refund address you gave, so we recommend adding one. Keep this tab open or note your swap ID to check status; tracking IDs last up to 24 hours.
